Purple Tuesday at LDO

Purple Tuesday at LDO

Supporting our shoppers

At the heart of London Designer Outlet is one focus—you, our guests.

We’re dedicated to creating an inclusive, welcoming space for everyone, which is why we’re proud to support Purple Tuesday, a national day of awareness dedicated to enhancing the shopping experience for neurodiverse individuals and those with disabilities.

On Purple Tuesday, we make additional adjustments throughout the day to ensure an enjoyable, accessible environment for all our visitors. Non-essential tannoy announcements and background music are paused, reducing sensory stimuli and creating a calmer atmosphere. We also work with our stores to dim lights, maintaining a low-sensory environment that caters to the comfort of all our guests.

Our goal is to make LDO a destination where everyone feels comfortable and valued, so you can fully enjoy your shopping experience, not just on Purple Tuesday, but 365 days a year.

Be our guest

If you’re ever in need of assistance, head to our Guest Services hub – a space like no other.

Step off the mall and into our welcoming room and you’ll be greeted by one of our friendly team members, who are always on hand and happy to help.

Guest Services is open seven days a week, find the hub next to Clarks on Level 1.

London Designer Outlet (LDO) is designed to be easily accessible for all our guests, including those with disabilities.

There is step-free access from the platforms at Wembley Park Tube right into LDO, and eight bus routes serve the centre via Empire Way, which also offers step-free access for all.

The Red Car Park, nearest to LDO, includes numerous disabled and family parking spaces, concentrated for convenience in the first floor and served by lifts to all levels. There are disabled toilets located in our toilet areas, as well as family facilities.

Whether you wish to shop, dine, enjoy a drink with friends or watch a movie at Cineworld, you will find that everything at LDO is accessible by lift as well as by escalator.

Guide dogs, hearing assistance dogs, and support dogs are welcome everywhere at LDO.

There are six water stations located at various points throughout the centre should they need to ‘paws’ for refreshment!

If you need any emergency supplies, head to Guest Services (located next to Clarks Outlet) for biodegradable poo bags and dog biscuits.

Guests can hire Shopmobility scooters at any time during trading hours until one hour before the closure of the Guest Services hub. The mobility scooters must be returned at least 30 minutes before the centre closes.

Please complete the booking form on our Shopmobility page.

Please check our opening hours ahead of your visit.

Assistive Listening Devices are available within the Guest Services unit at the LDO. These are compatible with digital hearing aids and hearing aids that have T-position settings.
